If You’re a Travel Writer or Photographer…
To read more about membership in the ITWPA and apply, please follow go here.
We invite both seasoned and relatively new travel writers and photographers to apply. Though ITWPA members are just as likely to be full-time writers and photographers as they are part-time, we ask that members nevertheless publish at least two travel articles or sell two photographs a year to maintain their member status. Of course, it’s our mission to help you do that, and we’ll provide you all the tools you need to make it happen!
If You’re an Editor…
We welcome editors as members in the ITWPA and are happy to offer you membership at half price. For more information about this special courtesy offer, please email our member services team your name, the publication you work for, and your email address. They’ll reply with all the details.
As an editor, we also invite you to take advantage of a free subscription to Travel Post Monthly, the ITWPA’s online magazine, which functions as a travel content wire service, delivering to you excellent travel articles and photos available for publication in your own magazine, newspaper, or online publication. (Of course, it’s a way for us to highlight our members’ best work, as well.)
When you want to publish a story or photo you see in Travel Post Monthly, you simply contact the author directly — the contact information for each contributor is listed clearly alongside each article or photo — and negotiate rights and fees directly with him or her, just as you would with any freelancer.
As an editor, you can sign on for this service at no charge. And you needn’t be a member of the ITWPA to take advantage of it.
